We work with women across Teesside and North Yorkshire providing tailored support towards their specific needs including; reuniting families and securing stable accommodation away from any negative past relationships.

Partnering with the agencies working in HMP Low Newton and Askham Grage for those soon to be released, we offer specific employment training and employment opportunities dovetailing with the training often given whilst in custody.  We take a joined up thinking approach.

From the national statistics we know about half of women in custody lose their homes and their possessions when going to prison and are consequently released homeless.  The statistics show only 55.8% of women were released from prison with settled accommodation.

A lack of accommodation increases the risk of re-offending and jeopardises a woman’s ability to engage in employment, training and support services.
